We designed these socks to match our line of black and white striped ties, but for aesthetic purposes the stripes are slightly smaller at 0.5-inches wide, rather than the 0.75-inch stripes on the ties. (Basically, the stripes looked too wide on our feet when we sampled them in the larger stripe.)
